We Had NO IDEA What We Were Getting Into in New Mexico

We thought we were just going to explore a little bit of New Mexico… but somehow this turned into one of the most random adventures we've had on the road! We started at Bandelier National Monument, where we climbed 140 feet up ladders to reach an incredible ancient alcove. Then we dove into the history of the Manhattan Project and Oppenheimer before making our way to Santa Fe. From there, we explored the Railyard Farmers Market, met Erthyl the whale (one of the largest plastic sculptures in the world), visited a bug museum where Keaten encountered some VERY questionable creatures, and found Santa Fe's famous physics-defying staircase. And just when we thought we were done, we headed out to explore the Valdez Caldera and finished the adventure with some much-needed time in a hot spring.
