[SOG] STEEL DUCKS™: Aluminium Ducks®️: REDUCKS | Combined Arms

The Steel Ducks enter the Space Age Aluminium Future! The troops still need their meals though. Khe Sanh, Vietnam January 22nd 1967, morning. Morning, hazy, cloudy. SITUATION In 1964, the US invaded Vietnam. The country was becoming Communist. It was the polite thing to do. It started slowly, with advisors, some helicopters. A gun run here and there, the occasional village flattened. Of course the locals didn't take kindly to the instant city planning, which was typical. As the Northern armies grew in size, more assets had to be committed. It turns out that when you demolish a brick factory, the workers will rebuild a gun factory. With broken bricks. The Vietnam War was here to stay. As the frontline extended, the rearguard troops settled into a comfortable routine. Hold strategic locations, patrol the roads. Bomb the occasional stronghold, and have dinner delivered by boat. However, the steam previously knocked out of the VC is building once more as smuggled weapons find their way onto the island by new and inventive means. Caches have been uncovered containing PKs, RPGs and most importantly, Strela-2s. With US air power disrupted by this new threat, a new uprising builds upon the opportunities this entails. You are the 22nd River Division - the 'Aluminium Ducks' - and today, none of that matters to you. Today, you're delivering lunch. It falls upon you to navigate Khe Sanh’s treacherous waterways, feed the troops, investigate any unusual behaviour, and make it to the floating market in time for dinner. You'll have to deliver that, too. Good luck, dear Ducks. Our cuisine rests in your hands. MISSION Infantry: Collect rations from Nabo supply point. Deliver rations to FOBs and marked villages. Be watchful for any unusual activity. Assist any local forces in combat if required. Combined Arms: https://slotting.combinedarms.co.uk/
