#KiniNews: Dr Mahathir admitted to IJN; Ex-Felda DG charged with deceiving board over land transfer

[KiniNews] Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad was admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN) yesterday for observation, said his son Mokhzani. Mokhzani said there was no cause for concern over his father’s condition, adding that the decision to admit him was made to allow him to be monitored following the passing of Dr Hasmah Ali. “He was admitted to IJN for observation. The past two days have been quite stressful for Mahathir, but for now, he is okay and there is no cause for concern,” he said. Meanwhile, in a separate story, a former director-general (DG) of the Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA) was charged at the Sessions Court today with deceiving the authority’s board of directors in connection with a power of attorney used to transfer the ownership of 16 parcels of its land at Jalan Semarak in 2014.
