Highwayman’s Hitch - Children enjoy this knot

The Highwayman's Hitch (also known as the Bank Robber's Knot or Getaway Hitch) is a classic quick-release draw hitch used to temporarily secure a rope to a post, rail, or ring. Its defining feature is that it can hold a load on its standing part but collapses completely with a single tug on the working end, freeing the rope entirely from the anchor. Because of it's quick release property, this knot should never be used to support life.
