Ortaköy Night Walk 4K | Istanbul's Kumpir Street, Waffle Stalls & Bosphorus Lights

Ortaköy after dark is one long queue for kumpir. The square is full, the stalls are lit, and the Bosphorus Bridge is glowing right behind the mosque. This is a 4K night walking tour through Ortaköy, a small waterfront neighbourhood of Beşiktaş on Istanbul's European shore, filmed on a warm August night. The walk starts on Ortaköy's İskele Meydanı in front of the Büyük Mecidiye Camii — the Ortaköy Mosque — where everyone stops for the same photograph of the mosque with the 15 Temmuz Şehitler Köprüsü lit up behind it. From there we move into the kumpir and waffle street, where the baked-potato counters and the chocolate-covered waffle stalls stay busy well past midnight, then through the handicraft stalls and the narrow lanes behind the square, past the cafés and fish restaurants along the water, and out along the shore toward Kuruçeşme.
