Banjul surprised me in ways I didn’t expect. This day took me from playful monkeys and ancient crocodiles to moments of simple kindness — including a police stop that turned into admiration for my motorcycle. Later, walking along the beach, I came across a migrant boat resting on the shore. Silent, weathered, and heavy with meaning, it told a bigger story about movement, hope, and the risks people take in search of something better.
