Introducing PayPause — a mobile banking security project designed to help identify unusual payment activity and give users an opportunity to review potentially suspicious transactions. 🔐 About PayPause PayPause explores how continuous behavioral monitoring and risk-based payment reviews can add an extra layer of security to mobile banking. 🚀 Key features: • Behavioral monitoring using typing rhythm, swipe patterns, and device signals • Unusual payment risk assessment • Payment pause and review workflow • Explainable risk alerts • User approval, cancellation, and reporting options • Security monitoring and audit history 💻 Technology stack: • Kotlin and Android Studio • Node.js and Express • PostgreSQL • ReactJS (proposed dashboard) • GitHub 🎯 Project objective: To explore a more transparent approach to mobile payment security by combining risk detection, understandable explanations, and user control. This presentation covers the project background, existing banking applications, proposed solution, system architecture, development methodology, and project plan. PayPause is an academic prototype.
