The Reality of My First Race at Westhead

Tune into another episode - and this one's special. My first ever race at Westhead Road Race! I've been talking about racing for what feels like forever, and I finally bit the bullet and did it. Westhead Road Race was literally a last-minute decision (signed up the day before) and if I'm honest, it's not exactly the most favourable course for someone over 90kgs... Anyway, what an experience it was. Sure, plenty of lessons were learned and mistakes were made - but hey, that's racing, right? You only get better through practice and consistency like everything. Taking the plunge was exactly what I needed - no more excuses to pass up on races now. I'm excited to branch out, race some more, and grow as a cyclist. Watch along as I almost grab the win... only to blow up right before the line.
