Sept 27th Communication in Eden

🌿 *Before there were prophets, sermons, churches, or even a written Bible, God was already communicating with humanity.* From the very beginning, the Creator did not make mankind and then remain silent. *God spoke. He gave identity. He gave purpose. He gave responsibility. He gave instruction. And even after sin entered the world, He still came looking for humanity.* 🔥 *POWERFUL QUESTION:* *What does it reveal about the character of God that, even after Adam and Eve sinned, His first response was to call out, “Where are you?”* 📖 *TODAY’S LESSON: “COMMUNICATION IN EDEN”* *Scripture: Genesis 1:27–28 | Genesis 2:15–17 | Genesis 3:9* As we continue our quarter on *The Gift of Prophecy**, today we go all the way back to Eden to examine something essential: **God has always desired to communicate with the people He created.* In **Genesis 1:27–28**, God creates humanity in His image and immediately speaks blessing, purpose, and responsibility over them. In **Genesis 2:15–17**, God gives Adam clear instruction concerning the Garden of Eden. Adam was not left to guess what God expected. The Creator communicated His will directly. Then everything changes. Sin enters the picture. Yet in **Genesis 3:9**, we hear the voice of God again: *“Where art thou?”* God knew where Adam was physically. The question exposed something deeper—the separation that sin had created between humanity and its Creator. This teaches us an important foundation for understanding prophecy: *Communication originates with God.* Before there was a prophetic office, God was already revealing His will to humanity. Prophecy exists because the God of Scripture is a *communicating God* who desires His people to know His character, His instructions, His warnings, and His plans.
