Overlanding Africa | A Wildlife Artist Adventure: Saving a Zebra Foal!

Can we save it? Our Africa overlanding expedition gets intense in Kruger National Park and it's not the roads... We stumble across a helpless zebra foal trapped in a deep boggy mud hole. Hi and welcome to my Africa overland episodes. As a wildlife artist and photographer, driving into Kruger National Park was a lifelong dream. Join me as the journey begins in South Africa where we pick up a 79 Landcruiser for an epic 5 week adventure, self driving through Kruger Park and across to Botswana. A rogue mechanic almost took away our Africa overland tour and we had to leave our beloved Toyota Landcruiser 200 at home due to missed shipping dates. Instead of missing our planned adventure entirely, we decided to hire a Landcruiser 79 for 5 weeks. In this episode we reach Kruger Park, but before we could settle into the rhythm of safari life, we were faced a wildlife welfare dilemma. With time running out we had to act fast and decided to contact the park rangers. Once the dust settled, Kruger continued to blow us away, In this episode we have some incredible first time encounters with lions, painted wild dogs! and a rhino. Kruger definitely eased us in to driving in Africa with its surprisingly smooth roads and the perfect gateway to our off roading experience in Botswana.
