What If Giyu Raised Tanjiro and Nezuko

A demon-slayer finds a boy protecting his demon sister in the snow, and instead of killing them both, takes them home. Giyu Tomioka, the Water Hashira, breaks Corps law when he spares Nezuko Kamado and brings her and her brother Tanjiro into his own house. Over two years, the silent swordsman who eats nothing but rice balls and owns almost no furniture becomes something he has not been since he lost his sister: part of a family. Tanjiro learns to cook, Nezuko sleeps instead of feeding, and Giyu slowly begins to speak about the people he wore his mismatched haori for. When the truth comes out before the other Hashira, three lives are staked on Nezuko's humanity, and the boy who once threw a stone at the Water Hashira's head is sent into the Corps with his sister at his side and a home to return to.
