Learn how to design a complete disc brake - rotor, caliper, and bracket - as a single multi-body part in SolidWorks, no assembly required. In this video, I walk through the full workflow used to model a realistic disc brake as one part: ✅ Revolve the rotor's base disc profile ✅ Pattern the cross-drilled holes and slots around the rotor face ✅ Pattern the lug bolt holes on the center hub ✅ Extrude and fillet the caliper as a separate solid body in the same part ✅ Extrude the caliper mounting bracket as another solid body ✅ Position all three bodies precisely using shared sketches and Move/Copy Body — no assembly, no mates This is a different approach than most tutorials take — building the rotor, caliper, and bracket as separate bodies inside one part instead of a full assembly.
