ThunderCats: The Lost Eye of Thundera Amstrad Theme - Metal cover

Thundercats needs no introduction, if you are a kid of the 80's like myself you grew up watching it on the TV along with a few other great cartoons. Power metal music intro, greatly designed characters, a rich plot with a nice lesson or two at the end of every episode. In my opinion, Thundercats pioneered an entire genre or animated series. And of course, many video games followed, one of them being on the Amstrad in 1987, a classic side-scroller with incredible music and atmosphere. So, my next video in the series of Amstrad games music metal covers is ThunderCats: The Lost Eye of Thundera! The story begins with Mumm-Ra, the Thundercats' main villain, now has the Eye of Thundera, the source of the Thundercats' power and you play as Lion-O seeking to take back the Eye of Thundera. You rescue your teammates along the way (as I did of course!) taking back what is rightfully yours. In this video I got to feature my trusted companions a bit more (and give them plenty of treats and pets). So far and as it's fairly obvious, I have been editing the Amstrad footage on top of the Amstrad monitor (except the intro) as an overlay but I am looking for ways to connect to it directly from my PC and display to the monitor directly. Not the easiest thing to do with a 15Hz composite analog screen with a proprietary connector but I might eventually get it to work. Original credits to Rob Hubbard for the awesome music. As I said in my other videos, I can't even begin to imagine how difficult it would have been to program something like this back in the late 80's, and make it so catchy too. That intro is forever engraved in my memory, I absolutely adore it and I hope a heavy 8-string version of it with plenty of synths gives it credit. And for those that don't know me, I grew up playing Amstrad games with an Amstrad my grandad got us from when I was born. That very same Amstrad CPC6128 is featured in this video! I am very proud to have it featured in my videos as well as using it to sample the original audio snippets I use in these covers.
