Double Dragon II: The Revenge Amstrad Theme - Metal cover

Back with a bang... Or should I say, a flying kick? Anyone from my generation has most likely played this game is one form or another. I had the pleasure of owning a copy for the Amstrad but of course I've played the arcade version too. The main melody from the Amstrad theme though was by far the best one and of course it would get stuck in my head for days. Next video in my series of Amstrad games music metal covers is Double Dragon II: The Revenge. This is a story of revenge in a post apocalyptic New York where gangs ruled the streets. What's with post apocalyptic Amstrad games, right? Game developers in the 80's had very low faith in humanity it seems! In any case, with some Rambo silliness in an 80's style interlude but some pretty low 8-string riffs (cause why not!), some fun with a green screen again and finally some free time to make another video, I'm pretty happy with the result of this one. Original credits to Steve Barrett for the awesome composition. As I said in my other videos, I can't even begin to imagine how difficult it would have been to program something like this back in the late 80's, and make it so catchy too. And for those that don't know me, I grew up playing Amstrad games with an Amstrad my grandad got us from when I was born. That very same Amstrad CPC6128 is featured in this video! I am very proud to have it featured in my videos as well as using it to sample the original audio snippets I use in these covers.
