Tony Myers breaks down how he reads buck rubs and mature buck sign to find high-odds hunting setups on Alabama public land and in the big woods. Not every big rub means you should hang a stand. Tony explains the difference between a rub line and a cluster of rubs, what big tracks tell him, and how he determines whether buck sign is likely being made during daylight or after dark. The key is finding where big buck sign, bedding cover, feeding areas, break lines, and secure travel routes all come together. Tony also explains why he hunts close to thick cover, how mature bucks stage before dark, and when the sign tells him it’s time to stop scouting and hunt. If you’re scouting for mature whitetails, this is how Tony puts the pieces together.
