Exploring Bodh Gaya during Lockdown | Mahabodhi Tree, Buddhist Monasteries & Vishnupad Temple | Pt 3

From Rajgir we continued our road trip towards Bodh Gaya & reached our hotel (Hotel New Shiva), quickly had dinner & retired for the day. Next morning we took a quick bite of breakfast at the hotel's in house restaurant & hired an e-rickshaw to explore the Land of Enlightenment (Bodh Gaya) & neighboring places. Unfortunately on that day itself the government issued an order to keep the temple premises closed for tourists due to COVID but we were lucky enough that we got to explore all the top most sites of Bodh Gaya, smoothly. We went to Mahabodhi Mahavihara (Temple) & saw the descendant of Holy Mahabodhi tree from a distance and also saw 80 feet Great Buddha Statue, Standing Buddha Statue, Monasteries of Thailand, Tibet, Bhutan, China, Japan, Vietnam, Mongolia, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh among others, Sujata Temple, Sujata Garh, Phalgu River & Dharmaranya Vedi Temple. After checking out from our hotel in Bodh Gaya, we went to the famous Vishnupad Temple in Gaya, it is believed that Lord Vishnu visited this place & His footprints are still preserved in the temple. From Gaya we started our return journey to Patna via Jehanabad (NH 22). Upon reaching Patna we checked in to our hotel Ginger at Dak Bungalow Chauraha. That's it for this video (Part 3).
