Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition Personal Comments: This scenario is based on melee fights with equal numbers of the units. With Update 81058, Elite Woad Raiders received some buffs, +5 HP & +1 base attack. An Elite Woad Raider now kill a Champion in 5 attacks instead of 6 attacks (pre-buff version) and tank one more attack from Champion to survive. With the same numbers, Elite Woad Raiders dominate almost all militia-lines except Armenian Champions and Roman Legionaries. Theoretically, they draw against Aztecs, Burmese, and Dravidians Campions, but they have much better engagement, thanks to their fast speed. Slavs Champions can be a threat for them, but Elite Woad Raiders mostly still win against Slavs Champions. However, if it were based on Equal Resources battle, Elite Woad Raiders even lost to Generic Champions. Units Information: The Woad Raider is the unique unit of the Celts in Age of Empires II. It is a quick infantry unit with an attack bonus against standard buildings.
