5 HOURS. ONE BITE. WORTH IT: ATWOOD LAKE

I spent the evening camping and kayak fishing Atwood Lake in Ohio, and this one turned into a grind. After getting camp set up, I launched the Hobie Pro Angler 14 and headed out to see what Atwood Lake would give me. I talked with some great people on the water, covered plenty of water, and spent nearly FIVE HOURS trolling and fishing without much to show for it. Then, around 10:30 at night, it finally happened. One largemouth bass. Was five hours on the water worth one fish? Absolutely. This trip wasn't about filling the kayak with fish.
