The Meiji period was the dawn of a new era for Japan—a time when isolation ended, and our eyes finally opened to the wide world. Back then, Japanese people were stretching their limits to imitate Western culture, and the Aoki Villa was a house built precisely in that spirit, copying German architecture. It’s just a place where regular locals bring their dogs or come for some exercise to stay healthy.
