Porthmadog Maritime Museum ⚓ | A Hidden Gem in North Wales?

This is only a short video but after spending the day exploring Portmeirion, we had a little time left before heading back, so we decided to visit Porthmadog Maritime Museum. We only spent around an hour here, but it turned out to be a really interesting little addition to our day. The museum gives you a glimpse into Porthmadog's maritime past, including the town's connection with the Welsh slate industry and the ships that once carried slate around the world. It's not a huge museum, which actually makes it perfect if you're looking for something to do for an hour while visiting Porthmadog. You can have a wander, look through the old photographs, artifacts and displays, and learn a little more about the history of the area. And after spending most of the day walking around Portmeirion, my feet were quite grateful that our final stop didn't involve another massive trek! 😂 If you're planning a trip to Porthmadog, Portmeirion or North Wales, hopefully this gives you another idea to add to your itinerary.
