how to make a shortwave radio receiver with a simple AM / MW / SW radio receiver circuit!
ℹ️ As the sun sets, Earth's atmosphere shifts, transforming the sky into a giant, invisible mirror. That is the moment when shortwave frequencies come to life.
Tuning into a shortwave radio holds a unique magic that the internet age has never managed to replace. There is a fascinating quality to picking up the voice of someone broadcasting from thousands of kilometers away—from the other side of the planet.
Catching stations from different continents offers a pleasure and fascination that the internet can never replicate.
There is an indescribable pleasure in picking up a radio signal from thousands of kilometers away. It might be the rhythm of traditional music from across the ocean, a news bulletin in a distant, unfamiliar language, or the identification signal of a government station broadcasting from far away.
DXing—the art of hunting for and capturing distant signals.
Notes:
❓ The sound produced through headphones is much clearer and easier to understand than that from loudspeakers.
Depending on your location and the time of day, you might not pick up any stations. The best times are morning and afternoon (after 3:00 PM in my country).
To experiment with the radio, try modifying coil L5. With some experience, the other coils can be modified as well. Using a small iron rod (like a nail) also works as a fine-tuning adjustment for coil L5.
There is nothing complex about coil L1, and it has not been modified. It was simply removed from another radio and connected to the circuit.
