Everyone goes to Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam. But if you visit Kashmir and skip Gurez Valley, you've missed the best part. 🏔️ In this video, I take you on a full journey to Gurez: from the Vande Bharat ride and the Chenab bridge to Razdan Pass, the last village Chakwali, Dawar, and a riverside camp with a bonfire. 📍 WHAT YOU'LL SEE Vande Bharat from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi station Chenab Bridge and Banihal Kashmir valley villages Razdan Pass Habba Khatoon peak at sunrise Chakwali, the last village (Army cafe) Dawar and the Shina museum Khandiyal Top Riverside camp and bonfire Return via Bandipora forest ⏱️ CHAPTERS 00:00 Biggest mistake in Kashmir? 00:30 Vande Bharat and Chenab Bridge 01:30 Banihal and the Kashmir valley 02:30 Razdan Pass 03:30 Habba Khatoon peak sunrise 04:30 Chakwali, the last village 05:45 Dawar and the Shina museum 06:45 Khandiyal Top 07:45 Riverside camp and bonfire 09:00 Return journey 📝 TRAVEL TIPS Gurez is remote and close to the border, so check the latest travel and permission rules before you go. Carry warm clothes even in summer, since nights get cold. Keep cash and offline maps handy. Network can be patchy. Roads like Razdan Pass can close because of weather, so keep a flexible plan. I travelled in the last week of May. Conditions change by season, so plan accordingly. 🎵 No voiceover in this video. Just the visuals and music of the valley.
