Watch below-knee (transtibial) residual-limb shape capture and review in this 2016 OMEGA laser-scanner demonstration. Follow reflective-target preparation, scanning, tracking recovery, coverage inspection, removal of exam-table data, and orientation before saving.
This is a recorded workflow using older equipment and software. Target spacing, scanner distance and limb position describe this instructor's setup. Follow your device instructions and the treating clinician's plan. The white-light OMEGA Scanner 3D is a different device.
The instructor identifies a small gap during inspection. This lesson shows shape capture and review; a saved scan still requires clinical and design review before socket fabrication or fitting.
The landmark diagram summarizes the reflector sites named in this demonstration; it is not a universal target-placement protocol. Anatomy cross-checks: https://openstax.org/books/anatomy-an... and https://medicine.uams.edu/neuroscienc...

Removed opening title, record entry, setup, comparative-scanner asides, the later camera-turn request, repeated guidance, selected waits, later alignment introduction and notice. Cropped the source caption border; added fresh captions, live hook, early skill identity, source-based learning checks, teaching cards, chapters and closing card. Selected silent repeats run 2x. First demonstrations, inspection, trimming and orientation remain at real speed. Added an original landmark schematic for the instructor’s reflector choices.
