Lake District Green Lanes, Tilberthwaite, Cumbria

Although still open as a public right of way, Tilberthwaite was the subject of a high court hearing bought about and lost by a group trying to ban 4x4's using the Lake District byways. However the original bedrock surface has been broken up and the green lane is now graded along it’s entire length. Although no longer a challenging route, Tilberthwaite lane offers spectacular views and is a must do drive whilst green laning in The Lake District.
