5 Park POTA Rove | Rough Bands, 2 Fers & FT8 to the Rescue

Come along for a 5-park Parks on the Air (POTA) rove from August 30, 2026! Band conditions definitely weren't making things easy on this trip. I started out running the Yaesu FT-710 at 50 watts on SSB, but when the bands wouldn't cooperate, the Xiegu X6100 and FT8 came out to help finish some of the activations. My son rode along for this one, making it a great day of POTA even if the bands had other ideas.
