That’s nearly $17,000 a year in HOA fees alone! On top of that, we also have to pay a big lump sum in property taxes every year! In this video, we share why we’ve decided to sell our Miami condo, retire for good, and move to the Philippines! We also discuss how Florida’s condo regulations have changed since the tragic Surfside collapse in 2021, resulting in rising maintenance fees and costly special assessments. With these skyrocketing costs, many condos are sitting on the market for months, sometimes even years! For us, paying these outrageous fees feels like throwing our hard-earned money away.
