Bogged Troopy, BIG Crocs & First Barra!

Welcome back to Nick & Lindall’s Lap Series! Our East Kimberley adventure continues as we enjoy the wildlife at Marlgu Billabong before heading into Wyndham to catch up with Benny and Sally from Kimberley Dreaming! This episode, we’ve got one mission… for Nick to catch his first barramundi of the trip! We head out on the King River with Benny, Sally and Roy for a day of fishing, but despite our best efforts, the barra just aren’t playing the game! While exploring Wyndham, we also check out Five Rivers lookout and visit the historic Prison Tree and some incredible Aboriginal rock art before heading off in search of our next camp along the Ord River. And that’s where the adventure really begins… Narrow tracks, getting the Troopy bogged and struggling to find somewhere to camp eventually lead us to an absolute ripper of a spot! With some VERY big crocs lurking nearby, Nick gives the barra one last crack… We then encounter a big saltwater crocodile shortly after our bucket baths, which quickly makes us feel uneasy and leaves us regretting camping so close to the water. From fishing missions to bogging the Troopy, big crocs and finally ticking off a bucket-list catch, this is one East Kimberley adventure we won’t forget! Thanks for coming along for the ride!
