Welcome back to Knight Sessions! In Episode 005 of the "Building a Trance Track From Scratch in Ableton Live Series" it's time to develop the melodic ideas that will help shape the identity of our track. In this episode, I'll be experimenting with melodies, sounds and different layers, exploring how they work together to build on the foundations we've created in the previous episodes. As the track has evolved, I've also made some changes to the original piano chord progression from Episode 001. Music production is an ongoing process, and sometimes ideas develop in unexpected directions as you bring everything together. I've split this episode into two parts. In Part 1, we're focusing on developing the melodic ideas. In Part 2, we'll move on to arranging the track and expanding on those ideas.
