Mr. Torrance riding INRD 7007 back northbound, during his first solo run! HWSA. Linton, IN. 8/2/26

Well, not long after our Norfolk Southern powered coal train cleared up the Indianapolis Subdivision mainline, swinging south and continuing their trip down the Chicago Subdivision, our northbound return trip enters the picture! Now, it's been known to happen that if the crew encounters too much time between their start from Senate Avenue in Indianapolis and getting back underway from Hiawatha Yard in Jasonville to head back north, that the crews will simply run out of operating time. Which, when this happens the crews are then transported back home via vehicle and the train will then be ran at a later time. Hoping this was not to be the case on this particular evening, and hoping to capture Ira Torrance heading back home on his first solo run. wouldn't this be a nice thing to capture....
