BET Refused To Play This Video. They Said It Was Too Intelligent.

#Raplist #Lyricism #GangstaRap #90sHipHop #HipHopHistoryThis is a hip hop video. It is about underground rap songs that did not sell many copies but became very important. It is about rap history. One group is Little Brother. They made a song called "Lovin' It." The TV channel BET would not play their video. The group says they were told it was too smart for the audience. One rapper is MF DOOM. His brother died in a car accident. His record label dropped him the same year. He disappeared for years and was homeless. Then he came back wearing a metal mask over his face. He became one of the most loved rappers ever. One group is Binary Star. The two rappers met each other in prison in Michigan. When they got out they made an album with no money and no record label. People still listen to it today. One rapper is Gift of Gab from Blackalicious. He was very sick with kidney failure. He kept making music and doing shows while getting dialysis treatment. He died in 2021. One group is Company Flow. They were famous for saying they were fully independent and hated big companies. But their record label was paid for by James Murdoch, from one of the richest media families in the world. This video also talks about Cannibal Ox, Jurassic 5, Dilated Peoples, Hieroglyphics, and Lootpack. If you like underground hip hop, 90s rap, 2000s rap, rap documentaries, backpack rap, or hip hop history, this video is for you. Which song is your favorite?
