Let's ride GWR's new BATTERY train!

Well, what a train! Very different to Mersyrails class 777/1s which only run on battery for part of their route. Here in West London, the whole route is battery powered and it's only chance to charge is at West Ealing! The train (As many are already aware) is an ex-D Stock from the London Underground District Line which were taken out of service in 2017. Vivarail (now bust) bought these units and converted them. some units are with TFW in use on the Borderlands Line between Bidston and Wrexham. 230001 - 230003 Were origianly in use on the Marston Vale Line between Bedford and Bletchley but stopped running them in December 2022 due to Vivarail entering administration. GWR bought the trains and technology from Vivarail and now GWR have all 3 units (002 and 003 at Reading incase 230001 fails). On this journey, i was joined by my good friend ‪@fynnjonestrains‬!
