Final Fantasy VII EP 09 The Junon Parade

After recruiting Yuffie and arriving near Fort Condor, we start this episode by climbing up to see what’s going on. At the top, we find people defending a giant condor from Shinra forces. We help them in their first battle, but once there’s nothing else to do, we move on toward Junon. When we arrive in the lower town, we learn that a massive new city has been built above the old one, complete with a giant cannon and plenty of Shinra influence. Before we can explore too much, a kid and a dolphin are attacked, and we jump in to help. After saving the kid with some emergency CPR, she helps us reach Upper Junon in one of the weirdest and most memorable ways possible: riding a dolphin jump onto a beam. Once we make it into Junon, Cloud gets mistaken for a Shinra soldier, suits up, and suddenly has to join the parade for Rufus’ reception. And yeah…we absolutely mess up the parade. Afterward, we practice for Rufus’ send-off, check out the shops, realize we are very broke, discover a path toward the sub dock and underwater reactor, and finally make our way to the docks. This time, the send-off goes way better. Then we sneak onto the ship. The journey continues.
