Have you ever left part of yourself behind? Many of us move through life carrying invisible instructions: "Stay here." "You're too weak." "You're too emotional." "I'll come back for you once I've figured life out." In this episode, I share a deeply personal story about the unexpected grief that surfaced while God was blessing my ministry—and how a mentor's simple words changed the way I understood healing: "Big Jason is doing big things, but Little Jason can't keep up." We'll explore what it looks like to stop abandoning the younger, hurting, grieving, or ashamed parts of ourselves and instead bring them with us as we follow Christ. If you're a Christian man navigating same-sex attraction, shame after relapse, loneliness, or the pressure to become someone else before you feel worthy of God's love, I hope this conversation encourages you. We'll talk about identity in Christ, emotional integration, healing, and why Jesus invites the real you—not a perfected version of you—to follow Him. You don't have to become someone else before following Jesus. You don't have to leave yourself behind. You can take you with you. In this episode: Why we leave parts of ourselves behind My personal story of grief after my father's death "Big Jason" and "Little Jason" Healing through emotional integration Same-sex attraction and identity in Christ Shame, relapse, and bringing your whole self to Jesus If this episode encouraged you, I'd love for you to subscribe, leave a comment, and share it with someone who needs the reminder that they're invited to follow Jesus just as they are.
