Rhythms from feedback: no-input mixer demonstration and techno walkthrough by Void Hands

Timed to fit with the release of Void Hands' new album "Open Angles" on cassette tape and for download ( https://slumberjackrecords.bandcamp.c... ), this video shows a basic overview of how the characteristic pseudo-techno pulse is achieved with a Behringer 1604a and a Soundcraft Spirit F1. Some basics of no-input mixer technique are covered but it assumes a basic understanding of making noise with mixers. Void Hands have developed an approach to no-input mixer technique strongly led by rhythm and abstract groove, fabricating a unique grit of unstable minimal techno from the noise of analogue sources which are not usually allowed to create sound.
