Overwhelmed | ‪@JesusLives‬​

Dear Jesus Lives Family, We would love for you and your family to join us this Thursday at 7:30 PM as we explore a timely teaching for many of us right now. It’s called “Overwhelmed,” and I truly believe this word will encourage your heart, strengthen your faith, and remind you that Jesus is with you even in the middle of life’s storms. This teaching is based on Matthew 14:22–24 NLT, where the disciples obeyed Jesus by getting into the boat and crossing to the other side, only to find themselves far from land, fighting strong winds and heavy waves. This passage reminds us that sometimes the storm does not come because we disobeyed God. Sometimes the storm comes while we are doing exactly what He told us to do. This teaching will help us understand that being overwhelmed is not a sign of weak faith. It is a sign that we are human and that we need the help, strength, and presence of God. Many of us carry the weight of responsibilities, wounds, worry, waiting, and situations that feel bigger than we can handle. But Jesus does not abandon us in the storm. He sees us, comes to us, speaks courage over us, and reaches out His hand when we begin to sink. Many of us are walking through seasons where the waves feel high and our strength feels low. But this teaching will remind us that the same Jesus who walked on the water is still able to walk over the very thing that threatens to overwhelm us. He is not distant from our pain, He is not confused by our weakness, and He is not finished writing our story. When we cry out to Him, He is faithful to lift us above the waves and set our feet on solid ground.
