With the CFD turned off, I handle a couple side quests at the Central Office, including a Threshold creature exploding heads. Apparently, we did NOT kill the Hiss. Shame. They still lurk on the streets in the city. I found a dog on the roof of a building. It wants a toy. I have no idea where to get one. So I moved on. I also found a Taxi that took me to a Threshold with a simple Find the Unique Taxi game. Apparently, there are more to find. I drop into the Sinkhole and locate Langston's cat, which helps me fight a Hiss creature. Then I drop all the way down through the Sinkhole, and discover... The Underpass. I wasn't sure what to expect when I heard that the game fundamentally changes about half way through the game. I guess this is it. When I first got a distant look at it on the entry walkway, I said "holy #$%^". I made it to the Underpass at the 16 hour mark or so (even though Steam for some reason says I've been playing 18.5 hours). I should have been here within 12-15 hours if I wanted to be on par with the usual length of the game. But my game play throughs have been taking a little bit longer than usual, as of late. I get stuck on a nasty encounter. I need to figure out how to more reliably trigger executions so I can use that to my advantage against the nasty elite creature. According to a google, if I let my Anomaly just pound on the little guys, they might give me more execution triggers. Otherwise, my melee attacks to build up Falter just kill them instead. My burn will also cause some falter. So if I can keep the minions falter building up, I'll have more executions to use. Apparently the anomaly also attracts attention, so if I put it above the minions, they won't throw at me so much and reduce my health while I'm trying to take out the flaming spinner elite. Played on an Intel Ultra 7 265K, RTX 5070 Ti OC 16 GB, 32GB 6400 CL32 DDR5, Steam Controller 2, Graphics 1080p DLAA, Ultra, RTX Medium, Fullscreen.
