In this video, I show my design process for a new Edwardian evening gown and show the techniques for making a high-end quality Edwardian evening gown skirt focusing on how they differ from all other skirt construction of the era. This gown is made out of a rayon backed silk satin, silk satins were the most common material for evening gowns of the era and man-made fibers were just emerging along with rayon, so the fabric is a plausible option accuracy wise and also a much more budget-friendly option to full-on duchess silk satin.
