🥣 Badam Savige Payasa | Vermicelli Payasam Welcome to Abhi’s Satvik Kitchen! ❤️ Today we are making a delicious, creamy and rich Badam Savige Payasa using vermicelli, milk, badam powder, sugar, saffron and dry fruits. This is an easy and tasty traditional Indian dessert that you can prepare for festivals, pooja, celebrations or simply when you want something sweet at home. 😋 🛒 Ingredients: • Vermicelli/Savige – 1 cup • Milk – 3 cups • Sugar – 1 cup • Badam powder – ¼ cup • Ghee – 2–3 tbsp • Raisins – 2–3 tsp • Almonds – 2–3 tsp • Cashews – 2–3 tsp • Saffron – a little • Cardamom – 2 • Vanilla essence – 2 drops 👩‍🍳 Preparation: First, fry the cashews, almonds and raisins in ghee and keep them aside. In the same pan, roast the vermicelli in ghee until it becomes aromatic and lightly golden. Add milk and cook until the vermicelli becomes soft. Then add badam powder and mix well. Add sugar and cook until the payasa becomes creamy. Finally, add saffron, cardamom powder and vanilla essence. Add the roasted dry fruits, mix well and serve warm or chilled. ❤️ 💡 Tip: The payasa thickens as it cools, so switch off the flame when it is slightly thinner than your preferred consistency.
