Susie was a Real Wild Child - Teddy Brown & his Cafe De Paris Band

The other day I spent a pleasant hour or so listening to Teddy Brown's Imperial issues. Having shared several of his Vocalion sides it seemed right to feature an example of his earlier British recordings. Between April to November 1926, Crystalate issued fourteen Imperial records featuring Teddy Brown's Cafe De Paris Band. In searching for one not presently on You tube, "Susie was a real wild child" has a certain bonus. It always gives the record an extra cachet if the composer is featured. Here Leslie Sarony sings the vocal chorus to one of his earliest published songs, "Susie was a real wild child" and in doing so made his recording debut. Recorded 18th May 1926. ***** Transfer and video by Jonathan Holmes *****
