The Moving Finger | Terry Oldfield

The Moving Finger is a song about the passing nature of experience, the things we hold on to, and the possibility of embracing life just as it is. The recurring line, “The moving finger writes and then moves on,” is inspired by a well-known verse from Omar Khayyam's Rubáiyát. Perhaps nothing needs to be different for this moment to be complete. Thank you for listening. #TerryOldfield #OriginalSong #CelticFolk
