The God of Symbiotes: Knull, who’s name is hilarious if you’re Swedish. This matchup has been on my brain for a good minute now as I’ve seen these two get compared a lot sometimes favorably sometimes in a more derogatory way meant to put down one while raising the other on a pedestal which, in my opinion. Nothing is original anymore. Except the idea of stitching already existing ideas together in a way that is hopefully new in itself. Anyway yeah, Sephiroth was the first winner of the Rumble meaning he got a guaranteed battle so I put my nose to the grindstone as soon as I could for this one. At the end of it all I am quite happy with it, it was nice finally paying off the Sephiroth teaser I did half a decade ago during the Metal vs Cell hype train and I just love the character alongside Final Fantasy itself, especially seven if it werent obvious by that being the only game in the series I’ve repped here… Knull is also a really fun character, much younger than Sephy in terms of cultural existence irl but he makes a big impact almost immediately and gives a huge status shift to one of the most iconic species in Marvel Comics, the Symbiotes.
