NestWorks C500 - OOB Oversize Face Mill on Machinist Wax

Today an out-of-box (or out-of-bounds) experiment. This is a 14mm three insert face mill, originally with a 10mm shank. The shank was turned down to 8mm and shortened for the C500 collet. An oversize 8mm collet was installed in the spindle. Neither the oversize collet nor the oversize milling bit are provided or supported by NestWorks. This is an unsupported experiment. The parameters were: Speed: 6000 rpm Feed: 1000 mm/min The DOC was 0.5mm on the first pass, 1.0mm on the second pass, and 1.5mm on the third pass. The C500 showed no signs of imbalance, unusual vibration, or uneven cutting.
