When the Assyrian king Sennacherib threatened to destroy Jerusalem, he did not just launch a military campaign. He launched a spiritual attack, using fear, twisted truth, and discouraging comparisons to shake Hezekiah's confidence in God. These are the same tactics the enemy uses against believers today. Hezekiah's response changed everything. Instead of panicking or running to others first, he took the threatening letter directly to the Lord. He spread it out before God, declared who God is, acknowledged the threat without owning it, and simply asked God to act. That prayer was heard. God delivered Jerusalem in a way no human strategy could have produced. This message explores what it looks like to truly take our burdens to the Lord, how to pray when we are afraid, why we so often go to people before we go to God, and how to build a daily practice of surrender that brings real peace in the middle of real problems.
