Walking Towards Him | Watercolour Wedding Memory

In this piece, I revisited the most memorable moment from my wedding day - walking into the church, passing by family and friends, and slowly making my way down the aisle. At the end of it, he was there, waiting quietly, with sunlight falling across him in the most beautiful way. It’s a scene I have held onto for a long time, and painting it felt like returning to it gently, one brushstroke at a time. This video captures the full process, from the first sketch to the final layers of watercolour, as I translate that memory onto paper. Along the way, I included a small, personal detail that means a lot to me, adding a quiet presence for those who couldn’t be there, but were never truly absent. I hope this peaceful painting process brings you a sense of calm, and perhaps reminds you of a moment you would like to hold close as well.
