This week we celebrate water and rivers and their role in Creation as a building block for life. We need water for everything, and our bodies are 57% water. 71% of our Earth is covered in water. Water is essential to our survival. Yet we produce too much carbon dioxide, which gets absorbed into the oceans, raising acidity and, with global warming, killing coral and other small life forms. Our living has a direct impact on creation, and in terms of water, it has a microscopic impact that we often aren't even aware of. Our oceans absorb and process as much carbon dioxide as our forests. So if we seriously want to testify to the fact that God created us, we must also look after God's Creation and the oceans and rivers.
