Dan Skillings Jr: What Coaching Is REALLY About

Dan Skillings Jr. joins the show to reflect on his basketball journey, from picking up organized basketball in high school to becoming a standout at Roman Catholic and making his mark at the University of Cincinnati. He shares how mentor Kenneth Jackson pushed him to reach his potential, recalls unforgettable moments with the Bearcats—including a game-winning layup against Xavier—and describes what it was like returning to Cincinnati as an opposing player. Dan also opens up about the impact Scott Drew had on him at Baylor, including an emotional moment when Coach Drew shared how deeply he cared about his players' faith and future beyond basketball. That conversation helped inspire multiple players to get baptized that same day. From his experiences under both Bryce and Scott Drew to his approach to trusting God's plan, Dan explains why success is about more than what happens on the court. 🏀🙏
