Ken Griffey Jr. presents Major League Baseball | SNES | Playoffs, Game 7

Today is the third game of the National League Championship Series. After another win yesterday against the Giants, we look to take a commanding three to nothing lead against them. The second game wasn't as easy as the first, with Pickford going deep twice against Edwards for three RBI. The game was close until the eighth inning where we managed to score four, and blow the game open en route to a nine to three victory. We still have two wins needed, and no time to get lax now. Plenty of teams have gone up two to zero and lost before. This is the 1994 playoffs which never happened due to the strike. Not exactly a baseball historian, but this would have been the first time in close to fifty years where the League Championship Series was to be played later. With three divisions, each division winner had a playoff spot, with the "wildcard" team which was the best non division winner to play each other. Perhaps this whole system came about from the year before where the 1993 Giants won 103 games which is basically two out of every three played and didn't make the playoffs since the Braves won 104. It was released for the SNES in 1994, and while it has the MLB license, it did not have a players association (MLBPA) license. What this means is it features actual team names, logos and stadiums, it did not have real player names. Of course, you can figure out which player one is, based on their jersey number and stats from the 1993 season. Gameplay is fast paced, and very similar to the arcade versions of both Baseball Stars games. While it takes some practice to get used to, its not overly complex to play like the MLB: The Show games of today. If you get a chance to play, I highly recommend it.
