I thought I was building a lesson about BattleMech construction. The battlefield disagreed. Three months later, that single lesson has become an entire BattleTech Command School curriculum built around a bigger question: not whether a BattleMech is good, but whether its design choices survive contact with terrain, objectives, lance composition, and an enemy actively trying to ruin your day. In this Command School update, we're looking back at the first three months of the project, how BattleMech design evolved into lessons on tactics, strategy, and lance building, and where the curriculum goes next as we prepare to continue stomping through Course 1: From Parts to Command. Whether you're new to BattleTech or a veteran commander testing long-held assumptions, Command School is built around one simple goal: giving you a practical decision you can take into your very next engagement. You can start anywhere in the curriculum, but the Bridge episodes serve a different purpose. They aren't standalone lessons. They're designed to challenge the previous classroom and prepare you for the next one. Remember: BattleMechs dominate the poster, but they do not dominate the war. Tonnage matters, and so do you.
