2026 Clinton Race 3

At the start of this video Brother Kevin laments that he forgot to start the camera for Race 2, where Sailing Brothers (from different mothers) Kevin and Steve took first place.  Entering into Race 3 they had a commanding lead with two bullets.  However, they know that Clinton Lake (Illinois) is a challenging lake to sail on, and so they remain guarded about taking first place overall. The venue is set up right off the point from Clinton Marina, giving the patrons at Shore House Bar and Grill a show.  Race management was done from drones and VHF, allowing a single PRO to call OCS boats or restarts from shore.  This simplifies the need for onerous volunteers on Race Committee.  Eric from @SailboatInstructor, provided Kentucky Lady, Flying Scot #4890, for the Brothers to sail.  Since Clinton Marina Sailing Club keeps their fleet of Flying Scots on a floating dock out of the water, this eliminated the need to trailer Gadzooks! over to Clinton to sail.  And it gave the Brothers another opportunity to sail the shifty and fluctuating winds at Clinton before the Flying Scot Glow in the Dark Regatta 2 weeks hence.
