19 more House races shift away from GOP: Report

Elections forecasting agency The Cook Political Report moved 19 House races toward the Democrats in an update this morning that said the chances of a Republican House majority “have all but evaporated.” The elections forecaster said Democrats are now expected to flip between 12 and 22 seats in the House. “Several of these ratings changes — particularly in Texas and North Carolina — are tied to Republicans’ underperformance at the top of the ticket and the resulting delta between Republican and Democratic voter enthusiasm statewide,” The Cook Political Report said.
